Reliance of the Traveller: A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law – The Basis of Shariah Law.

Just how big of a deal is the Reliance of the Traveller.  Well it is a big deal.  In fact, I would say that if you really want to know what Islam brings to you then read this book.  It lays down roughly 75 to 80 percent of the laws that govern Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries.  All four of the Islamic schools reference this book and use it in guidance in the laws of governance of society and everyday life.  I have attached a couple of websites to get you started.  I will tell you this, that I will be talking about the Fiqh (Law) Book in the very near future and just how big of an impact it makes in the everyday lives of muslims.  I do want to leave you with this though.  When you are told it is not in the Quran, then you should follow-up with well is it in the Reliance of the Traveller.  Because that is how big of a deal this book is to the Quran.  So before you decide you want to convert to this religion you really need to sit down with this law book to ensure that you know exactly what you are getting into.   It can be pick up anywhere in the US from any book store for approximately $25 or less.
