Middle east: Just how big is censorship and what is the consequence for going against it?

The middle east has issues as they have a difficult time allowing people with critical skills to function in their society.  Now for those who do have critical skill abilities who are outspoken about politics or Islam there is consequences.  Everything from jail to death.  Which tells me two things: 1) Islams cannot withstand criticism, 2) Middle east governments are weak and cannot withstand criticism.  So what does weak ideology or weak governments do?  They persecute their own and others.  Fear is a great motivator to people to ensure that they shut up and ensure that they follow corruptions or make-believe.  Here are some examples of just how scared both Islam and certain governments are who uphold Islam as their identity.

So what do you think of these peaceful muslims.  Of course don’t forget those wonderful fundamental Jews who threw items at an eight year old and insulted her for lack of modesty.  Seems to me that religion is not so peaceful. Seems to me their family values are lacking; honor killings, apartheid, slavery, etc.  Just some more high moral standards that everyone should embrace right?  Just be happy that she later had her sentence commuted.  She is probably on the run now.  Yeah got to love those fundamental religious type.
