The name Muhammad is mentioned four times in the Qur’an. The particular instances follow::

Al-Fatah 48: 29 – Muhammad is God’s apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelieves but merciful to one another. You see them worshipping on their knees, seeking grace of God and His good will. Their makes are on their faces, the traces of their prostrations Thus are they described in the Torah and in the Gospel: they are like the seed which puts forth its shoot and strengthens it, so that it rises stout and firm upon its stalk, delighting the sowers. Through them He seeks to enrage the unbelievers. Yet to those of them who will embrace the Faith and do good works God has promised forgiveness and a rich recomense.

The name ‘Ahmad’ has been mentioned once in Al-Saff 61: 6 - And of Jesus son of Mary, who said to the Israelites: ‘I am sent forth to you from God to confirm the Torah already revealed, and to give news of an apostle that will come after me whoses name is Ahmad.‘ Yet when he brought them conspicuous signs, they said: ‘This is plain sorcery.”

If Allah had so willed, succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear (Signs) had come to them, but they (chose) to wrangle, some believing and others rejecting. If Allah had so willed, they would not have fought each other; but Allah Fulfilleth His plan.
[3:45] Behold! the angels said: “O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;
[3:52] When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: “Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah?” Said the disciples: “We are Allah’s helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims.
[3:55] Behold! Allah said: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.
[3:59] The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be”. And he was.
[3:84] Say: “We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).”
[4:157] That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.
[4:163] We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms.
[4:171] O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not “Trinity” : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
[5:46] And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.
[5:78] Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses.
[5:112] Behold! the disciples, said: “O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?” Said Jesus: “Fear Allah, if ye have faith.”
[5:114] Said Jesus the son of Mary: “O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us – for the first and the last of us – a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs).”
[5:116] And behold! Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah’?” He will say: “Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
[6:85] And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous:
[19:34] Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
[33:7] And remember We took from the prophets their covenant: As (We did) from thee: from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary: We took from them a solemn covenant:
[42:13] The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah – the which We have sent by inspiration to thee – and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).
[43:57] When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)!
[43:61] And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.
[43:63] When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: “Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me.
[57:27] Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.
[61:6] And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “this is evident sorcery!”
[61:14] O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of Allah: As said Jesusthe son of Mary to the Disciples, “Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah?” Said the disciples, “We are Allah’s helpers!” then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved: But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed.

Muhammad(saw) is mentioned for times in the Quran. Yusuf(as) is mentioned even less. So what is that supposed to prove?

My father, an english man who converted to Islam in 1971, saw Jesus in the Quran everywhere. It was his firm belief that the names of prophets are labels/rank of spiritual status and that one person can have the spiritual stature of other prophets and be called by their name.
Muhammed is clearly mentioned as the high-water mark, the highest level of prophethood so he can therefore be also known as Jesus/Moses/Joseph, etc (if the names are seen as not just physical people but as labels). No other prophet has been known as Muhammad.
Jesus is important because he (or his rank) is to come again, after the life of Muhammad.

All one has to do is look at the examples of Jesus’ life (in the Bible, not the extremely minimized version of Jesus given to people by Mohammed) to see that Jesus made a point to be humble beyond any other religious leader. He washed his disciples feet and told them that he was not above them when they told him they were not worthy of that. He never took money, didn’t receive ANY spoils of ANY war, (much less ENCOURAGE fighting or war) He (Jesus) was truly the Prince of Peace. I think muslims point to this Mohammed only mentioning his own name four times to prove that Mohammed was self-effacing, and that he gave proper credit to Jesus, and took less glory for himself. That is actually the opposite of the truth….Mohammed talked about himself constantly, throughout the entire Q’uran. He took larger percents of booty than his followers, had special privledge above his followers with wives and sex slaves, and whacked peoples heads off who didn’t agree with him. He didn’t come CLOSE to humility, humbleness, OR mercy and peace, and he isn’t worthy to use the name of Jesus to further his “religion” of greed, debauchery, and violence!
May I just follow up my previous post by saying that I love Muslims, but I believe they have been lied to and brainwashed to the point of almost no return, save for the grace of God. It hurts me so badly to think of all the millions of deceived people who cannot accept the love God freely offered them because of that lie, and I hurt and am so ourtraged for the captured women I read about being traded amongst the men during Mohammed’s time. Giving them “freedom” or providing them “protection” is a lame lame lame excuse for having sex with them soon after their husbands are captured or killed, or trading them without any respect for their wishes. Christianity goes against the teachings of Jesus (pbuh). The Gospels were written 300 years after Jesus (pbuh). Who were mark, john, luke, and paul? These were all made up names to spread the lies of Christianity. There is a scripture of some sort that predates all of your man made gospels and in it they say that Jesus (pbuh) was only a man, not a god or a son of god. Now, you tell me who is brainwashed? The Holy Trinity is borrowed/stolen from a pagan religion. How many converts did Jesus (pbuh) have during his life time, and how many of them actually stayed true to his teachings? How many of them did not run away like cowards that they were? How many followers did The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) have in his life time? How courageous was it for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to walk into Mecca, controlled by Arab Pagans, unarmed with his followers (Sahabas) so they could go for Umrah Hajj. When Allah is talking to Prophet Mohammed(saws) directly there is no need for Prophet(saws) to be mentioned by name but when Allah is referring to Prophet Mohammed(saws) as an example or directly talking to other human about Prophet(saws) only then the name his mentioned in Quranic verse.

The same could be said of those who claim that Muhammad was someone different than Jesus. Muhammad is thought to be a title and the prophet is Jesus but the title later became a person and 2 centuries later it developed into man made stories to which the title changed into a person. Study the Quran and you will see that very little of the alledged Muhammad is actually discussed but what you will find is a mish mash of Christian/Jewish literature and then add it with a need for an emerging tribal government to have an identity to compete with the establish Christian and Jewish cultures/goverments.

The purpose of religion has mostly stemmed for purposes of political gain and mass control. As far as the story of Muhammad well….. I think the creation is the extension of Caliphate al-Malik and the need to have a religion that could garner him support and strength thus it was invented by capitalizing on Christianity and Judaism just as Christianity did to Judaism and incorporate pagan beliefs. A win/win for dictators and the elite who like control. Those who are controlled well……….. they are the losers as God is not included in the doctrines.

There’s no proof what so ever to what you are saying, and that Caliph Abd Al-Malik Ibn Marwan was the 5th man to come along to rule the Islamic Empire after the death of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from the Umayyad Dynasty. The title Muhammed would have reigned supreme even after The Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW)’s death. i.e. any man could have presided over a title just like the “pope” who you and others seem to worship. I seriously cannot believe that you said Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a made up person. Is his life so unbelievable? They have a grave for him (peace be upon him), and reports from hundred of thousands of people which some are not even Muslim such as Heraclius (or could have converted, but only Allah knows). Reading Tafseer (the story of how or why that revelation came), Muhammad (peace be upon him) was mentioned by name in Surah Muhammad because people were saying “we don’t need to listen to you. You (Muhammad) are nothing but a vessel for the quran to come down.” This verse came down to shut the people down and tell us that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is not just a vessel for the quran, but an example to follow and our leader. And of course, Allah knows best.

The fact is that religion is used today to justify political policies and discrimination within the USA and religion has been allowed this latitude since the inception of the usa to include justification for slavery, racism, gender apartheid, homophobia, child abuse, etc. I have no problem allowing people who believe in fairy tails to do so , so long as they do not attempt to force, coherence or allowed to have policy upon another to their detriment this includes children. Jesus made a little sin here in this verses, as he lied and twist a little fact. Its not however a big sin.

Christians believed that Jesus died for sins of all on the cross. But then he woke up after that couple of days later and thus making the sins no longer liberated. Think about it? Again another act of lie. Still it is not that big of a sin tho.
19:19 tells about ‘Holy boy’ as in; he did not came from the seed of human father. 47:19 is an act of Muhammad asking for forgiveness for himself and all from Allah the Most Merciful .
