All right for those of you who are sky watchers, the annular eclipse also known as the ring-shaped solar eclipse will be occurring on Thursday and Friday (May 9th and 10th). Be sure to get your camera ready and remember to protect your eyes by not looking directly at the sun.

Slavery be it for race or gender is wrong and immoral. When something like an alleged religious texts states that slavery is acceptable, condoned, or overlooked then you should know that this is not inspired by a deity but by greed, lust and power of man.
These articles provide a number of sources that show just how the religion of Islam has ensured slavery and just how insidious it really is. Just remember that even the Bible has slavery in the text but Islam’s provisions seems to be far greater in offense and scope. Here is another amazement of mine in that many black Africans don’t question religion as it has been instrumental in the institution of racism just as it has been in sexism.

For those of you hoping to end all and waiting for the end of 2012 to come, well…………………Hell, you are just going to have to tuff it out for the next round of continual doomsday prophecies. Since I have been alive I have lost count of how many times the world was going to end. However, for you younger ones it is a whole new adventure…………………..for me same shit, different day.
