Egypt bans Youtube for a month over “Innocent of Muslims” film…..Seriously
So Egypt wanted democracy so that they had more freedom and personal rights……..so after a bloody battle ………they elected the leader of an Islamist party. So anyone see this coming? Everyone…………….that’s what I thought. You cannot put anyone who supports this type of religious ideology into government and ask that certain aspects of religion be placed into government and then expect any form of democracy (geared for equality) or personal freedom as it is a contradiction of religion and theocracies. Maybe they will get it right during their next bloody revolution, as that appears to be where this is heading.
Secularist…if you want to have someone in the damn game next time…then have a plan and a person for the role before the revolution is over. You might want to have a plan as well……even if it is a shallow one. Also have a constitution written up well in advance……one that you actually believe in otherwise; stop wasting everyone’s life and time on this and just move to a secular country and let the religious have it.

Now Mona states that her actions are freedom of speech and expression but I beg to differ. She is destroying or vandalizing property not to mention being disorderly. Now depending on the laws of New York it could be assault/battery on another individual as well. An individual does not have the right to destroy another’s form of expression that is under their control or that they acquired/paid for as it is a destruction of someone’s property. In addition, protestors do not have the right to throw things at or hit others as that is a battery against another individual. You have the right to your expressions, beliefs and the right to state a counter to someone else’s beliefs but you don’t have the right to impose your belief by force or destruction upon another.
Now in no way am I saying that you cannot burn a quran or bible or a flag that you own either in private or public as you can. In addition, you can walk around in public with any number of items written on your shirt or even drive in your car with a message that religion is evil or god is great. That is considered freedom of expression and speech.
Clearly, Mona is in the wrong.
