I truly believe that in the United States we should have gun control. I encourage everyone to pursue this very important endeavor of gun control to keep people safe and secure. Now everyone who obtains a gun, rifle, or shotgun I strongly suggest, actually I would like to demand, that you first take a handgun and/or rifle safety class. Also make sure you check with your State laws on the requirements of owning a gun. There are numerous States that allow you to have conceal carry so be sure you know the laws. Read the instructions on the proper care and maintenance of the weapon. Make sure you control your weapon at all times. I encourage women who want to own a weapon to first talk with a firearms instructor or a local gun club on some of the best weapons for women on controlling the recoil. Go to a firearms range with someone and try out different calibers of handguns. It is best to know what type of recoil you can control such as a 9 mm, 10 mm, 40 cal. 45 cal., etc. The whole purpose of having a weapon is being able to control placement so if you cannot shoot the weapon and keep your placement then try a different caliber as it might be due to the recoil or handgrip. Always make sure when you are thinking about owning a weapon that you have talked with experts and see if you can fire a weapon under supervision of a person who has been trained in firearms instruction. Now once you have purchased that weapon and you have taken a firearms safety training course then go and control your weapon. Now you should have been taught that a weapon is always loaded.
Now don’t just buy the weapon and put it in a drawer. You need to practice on still and moving targets. Find yourself a good gun club and become very proficient with this weapon. When cleaning a weapon ALWAYS, ALWAYS point the muzzle to the ground. NEVER assume a gun is unloaded. Remember all it takes is one miss fire to end a life. So be careful the ramifications are life altering.
WOMEN REMEMBER TO CONTROL YOUR GUN.
For you women who don’t think you can shoot a gun, I have provided a video for inspiration.
