Texas Governor Rick Perry has signed a law stating that you can state, “Merry Christmas” in school without a lawsuit. Hmm………Merry Christmas,………..RICK. Stating Merry Christmas is not the problem……………. Rick. Putting up Santa and Reindeer is not the problem………….. Rick. These things are clearly not about religion but commercialism. I have no problem with Santa Claus and commercialism. I do have a problem with the nativity set and the belief in Jesus in a setting ripe for indoctrination. Also for those of you who don’t know the fairytale birth of Jesus actually would have been in the FALL portion of the year not winter. The winter portion was taken over as so many other traditions celebrated the Winter Solstice.
Then not so intelligent one goes on stating, “religious freedom does not mean freedom from religion.” Hello, Rick…….but yes it does. It means to have freedom from religion otherwise there is NO freedom. Can somebody give the man a clue, allow him to phone a friend, or even offer a 50/50 chance? Of course, this is a political play in a predominately “Christian” State.
Gov. Perry has a difficult time understanding the Establishment Clause and that the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States called the Incorporation Doctrine now makes it a State issue as well. Damn………..don’t you hate the constitution and its amendments????????? Who knew we were in the United States……… oh wait….YOU IN TEXAS NOW BOY. You just have to admire the dedication to narrow limited thinking skills which reduces humanity to his most base level. This only goes to prove that religious conservatives truly lack high IQs as studies have indicated.
