One has to wonder what parents teach their son’s in Saudi when their response to the end of school is destruction of property and harassment of the teachers. For a country that states it has a low crime rate it appears that it depends on your definition of crime. In the USA, a security guard demanding a woman to leave the mall over nail polish could be deem harassment and a crime but not in Saudi. In the USA, a police officer hitting men or women for not wearing certain types of clothing is considered a crime and the officer goes to jail and the department pays out big money, not in Saudi. In the USA, a husband who rapes his wife is jailed for a crime but not in Saudi. In the USA, security guards that chase women down to harass them over some violation of religion is a crime and the guards go to jail but not in Saudi. In the USA, men and boys chasing women or girls and running them off the road is a crime but not in Saudi.
On the other hand it is a crime to tweet about the prophet which could get you killed at the very least jailed but not in the USA. It is a crime to read tarot cards or be thought to throw the evil eye which could get you killed but at the very least jailed but not in the USA. It is a crime to drive if you’re a woman resulting in jail or lashes but not in the USA. It is a crime to not wear the black awrah bags resulting in jail time or death by fire as your pushed back into a burning school with your uncovered sinful female self but not in the USA. It is a crime to for a man to give a 75 year old woman food and not separated from her resulting in lashes and deportation, but not in the USA. It is a crime to speak against inhumanity such as video taping and posting the homeless situation resulting in jail time but not in the USA.
My I see a trend here. Maybe it stems from what is taught to children and what male children are allowed to get away with coupled with their lack of respect for others.
