All right for those of you who are sky watchers, the annular eclipse also known as the ring-shaped solar eclipse will be occurring on Thursday and Friday (May 9th and 10th). Be sure to get your camera ready and remember to protect your eyes by not looking directly at the sun.

It is interesting that in the USA teaching has become rigid and too structured. Of course it probably has always been that way but maybe we should try a different approach that actually focuses on learning in an environment that is less structured and regimented to something more open and approachable.
I am on break until after the New Year. Celebrate with your family and friends. Celebrate the moments and remember all the good times. So Happy Winter Solstice and Happy New Year.

Now if you are a parent who just didn’t have the prodding or the educational background that ensured your understanding of math concepts well……………you are not alone. However today they have cool sites for parents and kids alike. So if your child is struggling or maybe you are trying to help and it has been a while, then it is nice to have a refresher or just learning new concepts even if it is math with your children. So here is another site that I think can assist one and all. Remember until they stick a stake in you or the fat lady sings it is never to late to learn.
I have been busy for the last month as you can tell by many of my post. So I have decided to let my readers determine what they would like to focus on or discuss. So give me some topics or points of interest. So if you will excuse me I will go back to work, chasing kids, and looking for a new house while I let you decide a topic.
